Perhaps no woodworking project is so immediately rewarding to the tired craftsman as a comfortable Adirondack chair and a cool drink. With wide arms to perch your glass on, and a contoured seat and back that conforms to your body, the Adirondack design is the pinnacle of relaxation. We’ve retained the same easy-to-build qualities of the traditional Adirondack, but raised the seat and armrests for use at a bar, and to make it easy to get in and out of. The plan includes pre-cut full-size templates that make building as easy as trace, cut and assemble. Choose from rigid MDF templates for repeated use with guide bushings, or the more affordable cardboard templates, which work well if you’re only making one project. Step-by-step instructions walk you through the entire construction process.
Features:
- Includes full-sized templates for cutting out the more difficult parts
- Choose the MDF template option for repeated template routing with a guide bushing
- For bandsawing to the line, or to make your own hardboard templates, choose the cardboard template option
Note: For the easiest possible build we’ve made two optional stainless steel hardware packs available (#53423 and #53614, sold separately). Note that the hardware pack for the chair (#53423) includes all necessary hardware for one chair only. If you intend to build the optional connector table included with the #56771 plan, you will need to purchase two of the #53423 hardware packs, PLUS the #53614 hardware pack for the table.
